First off – Hi! If your here I assume you love reading as much as I do so therefore welcome to Slaying Books
Lets start from the beginning…
Why did I start a book blog?
Because I love books of course! And I love to discuss them. Although I have a few friends who like to read, I sometimes find it hard to in-depth discuss the books I like due to taste differences and other reasons. I’ve seen so many other wonderful book blogs out there and I knew it was something I was interested in pursuing.
Now on to the woman behind the blog…
If the sidebar brought you here than you already know some basic details about me but here’s a few more intimate ones. By day I’m working a 9-5 . By night my time is occupied with magic and mayhem, warring species, curses and hexes, and adventurous journeys leading to far-off and wondrous places.
As you might have guessed I love to read fictional works of literature. My favorites include YA, fantasy, supernatural, paranormal, or even a mixture of all! In regards to this blog, I’ll mostly be reviewing YA books.
If I’m not reading I’ll most likely be:
- ✣ Sleeping
- ✣ Movies (favs: The Labyrinth, The Nightmare Before Christmas, & almost anything Disney)
- ✣ TV (Buffy of course!, True Blood, Vampire Diaries, Big Bang Theory)
- ✣ General surfing of the web
- ✣ Listening to music (Muse, The Pretty Reckless, Lady Gaga, anything 80′s)

I have read many books and have many favorites, some you can see over at Goodreads. However, here are some of my top favorites of all time. I owe my love of reading to Ms. J.K. Rowling, she lit the flame within me and introduced me to the magical possibilities the literary world contains.
